Why I started Bond
My name is Klaudia Jodakis.
I decided to leave Ireland and move to Valencia because I felt stuck. The routine, the weather, the feeling that I was living the same week over and over again — I knew I needed a change. So I quit my job, packed up my life, and decided to book a one way flight and start over somewhere new.
I was excited, but I was also scared
The hardest part wasn’t the logistics or the move itself. It was knowing I’d land in a new city without a community. No friends to text. No familiar faces. No easy way to meet people who genuinely wanted connection, not just small talk or nights out that go nowhere.
That’s when it hit me how hard making friends as an adult actually is.
Once you leave school, the systems disappear. You’re supposed to “just meet people,” but no one tells you how — especially when you’re new to a city or country and starting from zero.
Bond came from that exact feeling.
I wanted to create something I wish had existed when I arrived — intentional, small-group experiences where meeting people feels natural and real. Not forced. Not awkward. Not random.
Bond is about helping people build real connections during big life transitions, so starting over doesn’t have to feel lonely.

We’re kicking things off the best way possible — pizza in one of Valencia’s most renowned pizzarias and a room full of girls who are also looking to make real connections. This is Bond’s very first event, and it’s meant to feel easy, welcoming, and fun. No pressure, no cliques — just good food, genuine conversations, and the start of something new.
